Mission Statement

Century 12 Farms started in 2002 and is owned and operated by Roger & Heather Chevraux. Roger graduated from the University of Alberta in 1988 with a B.Sc. in Agriculture and was employed by Bayer Crop Science. He moved home to farm with his parents in 1990 and continued to do both jobs until he retired from Bayer in 2019. In 1992, Roger married me, Heather Wallace from Sedgewick, Ab. In 1996 we moved onto the original farm site that was started by Roger's great-grandfather Joseph Chevraux, who moved here from Kansas in 1912. Roger is the fourth generation of Chevrauxs to farm this land in partnership with his parents, Stan and Sharleen Chevraux, owners of Chevraux Farms Inc. In 2012 the Chevraux family was given the Alberta Farm and Ranch Award for a century of farming the same land and that is why we named our farm Century 12.
Over the past 100 years, the Chevraux farm has adapted new technology and as a result it has remained sustainable. In 2018, our son, Derek, purchased his first quarter as the 5th generation to farm this land.
